Rib Tickler Ride

The Friends of Madison County Parks and Trails in conjunction with the London Rib and Jazz Festival will sponsor a family bicycle tour from London to Brighton. This fun ride will start on 2nd and Oak St. (the municipal parking lot) at 9 a.m. It will follow rural roads through the mostly flat to slightly rolling hills past many farms and scenic countryside. Take your time and enjoy the sites along the way such as the historic Brighton United Methodist Church. The rural community of Brighton, Ohio is a bit more laid back than in England, but enjoy the rest and refreshments when you arrive. The return trip to London will be by a different route to keep your adventure interesting. Your total round-trip will be about 35 miles.

The $25 pre-registration fee includes:
   • detailed tour map
   • identification number (which must be displayed at all times)
   • support services
   • food stop

The Friends of Madison County Parks and Trails will have their dri-fit t-shirts available at the registration table the day of the ride for $20.

All pre-registrations must be received by Saturday, July 28. We plan our tours by the number of pre-registrations received, so please help us out by signing up early. We are sorry but refunds cannot be made after July 28 if you are unable to ride after you have pre-registered. Registrations received after July 28, including the day of the tour, will be $30.

How do I get there? London is located in Central Ohio approximately 25 miles west of Columbus. It is easily accessible from any area of Ohio. From I-71 take St. Rt. 56 or St. Rt. 38 north into London. From I-70, take U. S. 42 or St. Rt. 56 south into London. As you enter downtown London, sign-in at the municipal parking lot at 2nd and Oak St.
