Thirteen members from FMCPT took a 341-mile, four and a half day ride across the state on the Ohio to Erie Trail.
The ride began at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati, where they dipped their rear wheels in the waters of the Ohio River,
and ended at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, where they rolled their front wheels into Lake Erie.
Jerry Rampelt, Executive Director for The Ohio to Erie Trail Fund, escorted the group along the street route in Cincinnati and Columbus which was a great help in some of the tricky spots. Jerry and his wife Toby also invited us into their beautiful home near the Olentangy Trail for home made cookies!
Many thanks to the folks who dropped us off, picked us up, and hauled luggage from town to town: Sarah Lynch, Toby Rampelt, Rick Dickerson, Wayne Roberts, Willie and Meloni McCormic, Monica Price and Cindy Allison.
Big thanks also go out to Carolyn and Guy Cocchiarale from www.IgotABike.com fame, who helped guide the group through the maze of construction in Cleveland to the "tire dip" point in Edgewater Park.
Many photographs were taken, and are shared in the following links:
